What Is the Michelin Tweel?

The Tweel is a single piece tire and wheel assembly that replaces the traditional pneumatic setup entirely. Instead of an air filled chamber, it uses a rigid center hub connected to a flexible shear beam by a series of poly resin spokes. Those spokes flex and absorb impact the same way air pressure would in a standard tire, which means you get a similar ride quality and traction without ever worrying about a blowout, slow leak, or low pressure warning again.
